Can museums and exhibitions be visited without a guide?
Can you visit the area freely?
Guests can move around the area freely. It is a good idea to park your car in one of the designated parking spots and explore the area on foot. Take a look at the area map.
Several of the houses are in private use, so please do not enter the yards and gardens of the buildings.
Is there a café?
As part of the Ahlström Voyage exhibition, Café Voyage and its terrace are open during the summer season.
Can you do shopping?
The Ahlström Voyage exhibition has a museum shop selling small textiles designed by Johanna Gullichsen. These include bags, purses, towels and bathrobes. The shop’s selection also includes art books, trays, trivets, canvas bags and postcards. The museum shop also sells the ironworks’ products such as canned game, coffee and liquorice. Noormarkku Club also sells museum shop products.
How can you visit Villa Mairea?
Audience tours and private tours are organised at Villa Mairea. It’s a good idea to book your tour well in advance. Find out more about visiting Villa Mairea.
What is the photo policy?
Photographing in the area is allowed. Photographing spots are marked on the map.

Can you bring a pet with you?
Our restaurant guests can bring their pet to the Noormarkku Club’s summer terrace.
The Sahala guesthouse has a couple of pet rooms for hotel guests. Pets are also welcome to stay in the Liiteri suite. For accommodation bookings, the fee is €30.00 per day.
Routes for walking your dog and garbage bins for waste have been marked on the map of the area.
Can you do sports and other wellness activities?
Hotel guests have access to the gym and its sauna. Guests will need to switch on the gym sauna by themselves. Gym can be accessed using the hotel key fob. The tennis court can be reserved at the reception desk. Hotel guests can also borrow bicycles. Topographic maps of the hiking trails are available at the reception in the Noormarkku Club.
“Näsin lenkki” is an illuminated fitness track and nature trail of about 2 miles near the Koli sauna. In winter, there are ski trails in the area, as long as there is enough snow.
